1. About This Service
Novi ("the App") is a mobile application for wedding planning and coordination, operated by Moritz Schafft, Am Hahnen 25, 34132 Kassel, Germany ("the Operator"). Contact: cd@moalsc.com.
The App helps couples and their wedding parties plan and coordinate weddings of all kinds — regardless of gender, orientation, faith, cultural background, or ceremony type. Features include announcements and updates, event management, an information page, gift registry and wishlist, tasks and responsibilities, group expenses, packing lists, travel planning, accommodation tracking, RSVP management with food preferences, a guest invitation website, an area guide with local spots, AI-powered daily event summaries, and a day program with food and transport planning.
By creating an account and using the App, you ("the User") agree to these Terms of Service ("ToS"). If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age to use this App. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Account & Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are solely responsible for all content you create, share, or submit through the App, including but not limited to announcements, event details, gift registry entries, task assignments, expense records, packing lists, travel plans, accommodation details, guest invitations, and area guide entries.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose: planning and coordinating weddings and wedding-related activities. The App may not be used for organizing other types of events. You must NOT use the App to:
- Post, share, or transmit any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Plan, coordinate, or facilitate any activities that are illegal under the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany or the laws of your country of residence. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.
- Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited content.
- Attempt to circumvent content restrictions, rate limits, or other safety measures.
- Use the App's features (announcements, events, gift registry, etc.) as a substitute for messaging to evade moderation.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Collect, harvest, or store personal data of other users beyond what is displayed in the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
5. Content Moderation & Reporting (Digital Services Act Compliance)
The App employs content moderation measures including automated checks (via AI) and manual review.
- Reporting: You may report content you believe is illegal or violates these Terms using the in-app report function. Reports must include a reason for the report.
- Acknowledgment: Upon submitting a report, you will receive confirmation that your report has been received.
- Action & Notification: We will review reports and, if action is taken (content removal, account restriction), we will inform both the reporter and the content creator of the decision and the reasons.
- Counter-Notice: If your content is removed or restricted, you may contest the decision by contacting cd@moalsc.com within 14 days, explaining why you believe the action was incorrect.
- Automated Moderation: The App uses AI-based content moderation (OpenAI) to automatically screen content. Automated flags may result in content being blocked pending review.

6. Rate Limits & Usage Restrictions
To prevent misuse, the App enforces rate limits on content creation (e.g., a maximum number of entries per time window) and character limits on text fields. Attempting to circumvent these limits is a violation of these Terms.
7. Account Suspension & Termination
The Operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, without prior notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms of Service.
- Activity conducted through the App that violates applicable laws, including but not limited to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
- Abuse of the reporting system.
- Any behavior that the Operator, at their sole discretion, considers harmful to other users or the service.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's profile settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, code, and branding are the property of the Operator. You retain ownership of content you create, but grant the Operator a limited license to store and display it within the App as necessary for its operation.
9. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. The Operator is not liable for:
- Content created by other users.
- Loss of data, service interruptions, or technical failures.
- Damages arising from your use of the App or reliance on its content.
- Actions taken by other users within your group.
To the maximum extent permitted by German law, the Operator's total liability shall not exceed EUR 50.
10. Changes to These Terms
The Operator may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of material changes and required to accept updated Terms to continue using the App. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. The courts of Kassel, Germany shall have exclusive jurisdiction for any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
